ELIN cosmetics was founded by make-up artist and beauty journalist Sabine Peeters. Since 2007 she has been working full-time in the beauty industry and has developed a style in which she wants to emphasize the beauty and personality of her clients. Makeup should give strength, not create insecurities.
With this attitude, Sabine started a series of Instagram tutorials during the first lockdown, with the aim of surprising the viewer every time with an injection of color, fun and confidence. The videos were received with enthusiasm, but the same question always arose from Sabines' followers: “Where can I find makeup brushes that are high-quality, animal-friendly and reliable?”
A fair comment, because the right tools make make-up application more hygienic, correct and finer, making them an essential part of a kit.
Sabine set to work with these propositions and immersed herself in the production world of make-up brushes, where she could use her years of experience as a make-up artist to create the right starter set.

Our story
ELIN cosmetics werd opgericht door make-up artist en beauty journaliste Sabine Peeters. Sinds 2007 werkt ze fulltime in de beauty-industrie en ontwikkelde ze een stijl waarbij ze de schoonheid en persoonlijkheid van haar klanten extra in de verf wil zetten. Make-up hoort kracht te geven, geen onzekerheden te creëren.
Met deze instelling startte Sabine tijdens de eerste lockdown met een reeks instagram-tutorials, met als doel de kijker telkens te verrassen met een injectie van kleur, plezier en vertrouwen. De video’s werden met enthousiasme onthaald, maar telkens rees dezelfde vraag bij Sabines’ volgers: “Waar vind ik make-upkwasten die kwaliteitsvol, diervriendelijk én betrouwbaar zijn?”
Een terechte opmerking, want de juiste tools maken make-upapplicatie hygiënischer, juister én fijner, waardoor ze een essentieel onderdeel van een kit vormen.
Sabine ging met deze stellingen aan de slag en verdiepte zich in de productionele wereld van make-upkwasten, waarbij ze haar jarenlange ervaring als visagiste kon aanwenden om de juiste startset op te maken.
Daarnaast merkte ze op dat vele make-upliefhebbers hun make-upborstels niet (genoeg) reinigen. Ze weten niet hoe dit te doen, of vinden het proces vervelend en lang.

at ELIN Cosmetics, we celebrate the individuality of each person and that does not include extensive use of photoshop! We honour skin spots, wrinkles, pores and shapes. Photo editing only takes place in situations of force majeure and inadvertence, or when decor and background adjustments are made.
